Terms of Use
Summary: Dhurta is proprietary software. You may use it for lawful personal and professional purposes. You may not reverse-engineer, redistribute, or use it to break the law. No warranties are given.
1. Acceptance
By downloading, installing, or using the Dhurta browser or visiting dhurta.in, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the software or this website.
2. License
Dhurta is proprietary software. Dhurta.inc grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use one copy of Dhurta on your own devices for personal or professional use. Full licence terms are in the LICENSE file distributed with the software.
You may not:
- Copy, sell, sublicense, or redistribute Dhurta or any part of it
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the application
- Remove or alter any copyright, trademark, or proprietary notices
- Use the Dhurta name or logo without written permission from Dhurta.inc
3. Permitted Use
You may use Dhurta for any lawful purpose, including privacy-conscious browsing, security research, and professional work. Dhurta's privacy and anonymity features — including Ghost Mode with Tor and Anti-Fingerprint — are provided for legitimate privacy protection.
4. Prohibited Use
You must not use Dhurta to:
- Commit any act that is illegal under applicable law
- Access systems or data without authorisation
- Distribute malware, conduct phishing, or engage in fraud
- Violate the rights of any third party
- Circumvent legal restrictions on content access in your jurisdiction
Dhurta.inc is not responsible for how you use the software. Privacy tools are provided to protect your data — not to facilitate harm to others.
5. Third-Party Services
Dhurta integrates with third-party services including:
- Tor Network — governed by the Tor Project
- VPN Provider — governed by that provider's own terms and privacy policy
- GitHub — for software distribution; governed by GitHub's Terms of Service
Dhurta.inc is not responsible for third-party services, their availability, or their policies.
6. Updates
Dhurta may release updates from time to time. Updates are delivered via GitHub Releases and are not installed automatically — you choose when to update. Continued use of an updated version constitutes acceptance of any revised terms.
7. Disclaimer of Warranties
Dhurta is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. Dhurta.inc does not warrant that the software will be error-free, uninterrupted, or free of security vulnerabilities.
No privacy or anonymity tool — including Tor or VPN — provides absolute protection in all circumstances. You are responsible for assessing the risks of your own use case.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Dhurta.inc shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use Dhurta, even if Dhurta.inc has been advised of the possibility of such damages.
9. Intellectual Property
All rights, title, and interest in and to Dhurta — including the name, logo, source code, design, and documentation — remain the exclusive property of Dhurta.inc. Nothing in these Terms transfers any intellectual property rights to you.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of courts in India.
11. Changes to These Terms
Dhurta.inc may update these Terms at any time. The effective date above will be updated. Continued use of Dhurta after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
